Here Begins The Journey - Javanese Wedding - Pernikahan Adat Jawa

We had the opportunity to document the wedding reception of Sitha and Bagus in Jakarta some time ago. Their Akad ceremony was held in the city of Solo, where Sitha's parents came from and Sitha grew up.

Like the event, the Akad ceremony is full of Javanese culture which is very thick. For the reception, they held a reception with Javanese cultural customs.

Sitha and Bagus wore green dodot Solo basahan for their reception. The choice of green was not immediately carried out without basis because there was a special message behind the decision. Green is a classic Keraton color. According to Javanese philosophy, the green color symbolizes nature and all living things in it.

For the wedding stage, Sitha and Bagus decided to make a miniature of the Solo palace. Decorated with red fabric with a touch of gold. Coupled with bold colored flowers, it adds to the luxury of the aisle and decoration of their reception event. Every decorative detail seemed to hold its meaning and the decoration team succeeded in bringing this couple's dream come true.

Sitha & Bagus also brought in Javanese dancers directly from Solo to add to the excitement of the event. The dancers did a flash mob and gave the guests a surprise.

Besides that, Sitha also gave a Javanese dance for the guests. Sitha danced very gracefully.

We are very happy to be a part of this very beautiful wedding. Congratulations to Sitha and Bagus.
